The Chicago Bears have enjoyed a strong start to the season and will fancy their chances of causing an upset in the Monday Night Football when they travel to Los Angeles to take on the Rams.
The Bears have impressed in terms of their results this season with quarterback Nick Foles in the driving seat and they could well get a positive win on the road this week.
Bears Don’t Mind Winning Ugly
It has not been pretty at times but the Bears have managed to battle their way to the top of the NFC North and have earned their 5-1 record ahead of their trip to LA.
Again, it was a battling performance in their last outing as Foles steered Chicago to a 23-16 win over the Carolina Panthers.
The 31-year-old quarterback, who helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to Super Bowl glory in 2018, has admitted it has not been pretty in some games but the Ws are all that matters to the experienced playmaker.
“Ultimately in the NFL, it’s about winning games,” Foles said. “It doesn’t matter how you do it; it just matters that you get it done. If you put up 50 points and you lose a game, those 50 points don’t mean anything.”
Chicago have the league’s 28th ranked offense but that has not mattered so far, as they have been able to grind out these important victories at the start of the season.
The Bears are certainly the underdogs going into their clash with the Rams but there is value to be had on the visitors winning at 43/20.
Rams Yet to Win Real Test
Over in the NFC West and the LA Rams find themselves in third place in the division, with the Seattle Seahawks leading the way and the Arizona Cardinals tucked in behind.
The Rams have a respectable 4-2 record to their name but it’s when you see who they have beaten when questions are really raised about where this LA side are at.
It’s well established that the NFC East is the weakest division in the competition this season and the four Rams’ wins this term have come against Philadelphia, the New York Giants, Washington Football Team and the Dallas Cowboys.
Rams quarterback Jared Goff has been determined to get back to the form that saw the Rams reach Super Bowl LIII before falling short against Tom Brady’s New England Patriots.
Goff has tended to struggle with his passing game in previous encounters against the Bears and Chicago will be hoping to put pressure on the 26-year-old once again on Monday, while also stopping the Rams’ running game.
The Bears look pretty battle-hardened, while the Rams could be considered underdone going into what might well be a low-scoring affair at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.
Under 44.5 total points is available at 20/21 in this one, while the Bears are also 10/11 with +6 on the spread.
From the wins these teams have recorded this season, the 43/20 on offer for a Bears road win looks to be the way to go.
