There are some tasty tussles taking place in Serie A this Sunday, with Inter’s trip to Napoli in the evening the headline act.
But Atalanta’s clash with Juventus may prove equally as important as just one point separates the sides in the race for the top four.
Juve have secured nine straight Serie A titles but they are 12 points adrift of leaders Inter with eight games to go, so a tenth is unlikely to follow.
That highlights how below-par Juventus have been this season and they could be second best in Bergamo, where Atalanta have beaten Roma, Napoli and held Inter this season.
Atalanta have claimed maximum points in eight of their last nine league games and with 71 goals scored in 30 league assignments they boast the division’s liveliest attack.
The Old Lady, on the other hand, have dropped points in two of their last four games – losing when Benevento visited the Allianz Stadium and drawing at Torino – and they have kept only two clean sheets in 14 away games this term.
Juve have won just six times from 14 road trips and could be set for defeat at Atalanta, who look decent value at 4/5
with draw no bet as an option or 29/20
to win the game.
Crotone Can Play Their Part In a Thriller
Crotone are rooted to the foot of Serie A and are edging ever closer to relegation, but their recent performances have been full of fight and they can play their part in a thrilling contest with Udinese on Saturday afternoon.
Despite being 12 points adrift of survival with only eight games to play, Crotone are not shying away from the challenge and are still scoring plenty of goals.
Serse Cosmi’s men have suffered four straight league losses but they scored on each occasion, scoring twice at Lazio and three times against Napoli in Naples.
Crotone also bagged a couple in defeats to Bologna and Spezia, while before that they were 4-2 winners at home to relegation rivals Torino.
Both teams have now scored in each of Crotone’s last six Serie A showdowns and the sequence may continue at home to an Udinese side in mid-table mediocrity.
The visitors are winless in four but they have failed to score in only one of their last 12 away league fixtures, with both teams scoring on ten occasions. At 7/10
, both teams to score looks an excellent bet.
Roma Face Tough Test In Turin
Torino and Roma are both desperate for points, albeit for very different reasons in Serie A, and the troubled hosts can enhance their survival hopes by avoiding defeat on Sunday.
Despite their struggles, Il Toro have been a tough nut to crack at their Turin base, avoiding defeat in nine of their 14 home league games.
Leaders Inter are the only team to be successful at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino since mid-December and Torino’s last two home games have seen them topple Sassuolo 3-2 and hold city rivals Juventus to a 2-2 draw.
And this may be the perfect time to host Roma, who were involved in Europa League quarter-final action with Ajax on Thursday.
The Wolves are still in the thick of the European qualification race but they have won only one of their last six away league games, which includes being held to a goalless draw at Benevento and losing 2-0 at Parma.
Torino are well worth backing to avoid defeat at 8-11 on the double chance market and are worth a second look to win at 12/5
.
