Watford
Goals from Tom Cleverly and Jaoa Pedro gave Watford victory over Huddersfield at Vicarage Road on Saturday, their ninth win on their own turf, maintaining the best home form in the Championship. Visitors Barnsley fell to their second league defeat in a row going down 0-2 at home to Swansea, a result that saw them slip to 10th in the table.
The Tykes won the corresponding fixture back in October but have struggled all too often against the top six, failing to pick up any other points against teams currently occupying the promotion and play-off places. There’s no reason why in-form Watford can’t add to that stat.
Portsmouth to score 2+
Wimbledon can’t buy a win at the moment and face a tough trip to Fratton Park on Tuesday. Pompey won 1-0 at Fleetwood to maintain their promotion push thanks to goal from top scorer John Marquis, his first in almost two months, and his form could be crucial if Portsmouth are to make a return to the Championship.
The Dons have concede two or more in six of their last seven and Portsmouth with Marquis back among the goals can grab a couple against the struggling visitors.
Doncaster v Rochdale Over 2.5 Goals
If only fans were allowed at Rochdale matches! The Dale’s games have served up a huge amount of goals recently, 35 in the last six (3-3, 4-4, 3-3, 1-4, 0-5, 4-1), averaging a mammoth 5.83 per game.
They travel to in-form Doncaster Rovers who have won five of their last six in League One to move themselves to fifth in the table, six point off the leaders Lincoln with two game sin hand.
Rovers are top scorers in the league and allied to the regular recent goalsfests in Rochdale matches Over 2.5 here is bigger than expected at 4/6
Crawley Town
The form team in League Two are Crawley Town who are unbeaten in nine. They also produced the performance of the round in the FA Cup, deservedly beating Leeds Utd 3-0 and confidence will be sky-high at the moment.
They were left cooling their heels on Saturday as Bradford City postponed the match due to “dangerous weather” in West Yorkshire, so will be raring to go here against a Stevenage side who have the worst away record in the division – zero wins in ten road trips.
