Our Acca Tips are mostly on the win-daw-win markets and largely based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Doncaster Rovers v Wimbledon
Doncaster were soundly beaten by West Ham in the FA Cup on Saturday but that shouldn’t dent their confidence too much in League One where they sit fifth and within reach of top spot with two games in hand of all the teams above them. Rovers have won seven of their last eight in the league and boast a home record of W7 D2 L2.
Visitors Wimbledon are now winless in nine in the league although they’ll be encouraged by their well-earned 1-1 draw at Crewe but if Doncaster have serious promotion ambitions these are the games have to win.
Peterborough v Bristol Rovers
Posh are hitting a nice vein of form in League One and are now unbeaten in eight games in all competitions. That said, their victory at Portman Road came without them recording a shot on target thanks to Ipswich Town’s Mark McGuinness’ own goal.
They boast the best home form in the division with eight wins from ten at the Keepmoat Stadium.
Bristol Rovers have now lost their last five in all competitions and four of their last five in the league and are now just one point off the drop zone with manager Paul Tisdale left disappointed yet again by the team’s performance in their latest defeat at Oxford on Saturday.
Raith Rovers v Hearts
Hearts slumped to a third defeat of the season when Raith Rovers stunned them at Tynecastle on Saturday but they have an immediate opporunity to exact revenge at Stark’s Park on Tuesday. Rovers raced in to a three goal lead and had a penalty saved at the weekend before Hearts mounted a comeback but it was too little too late.
Rovers who hadn’t played since December and managed just one training session before kick-off might feel the effects of a tough 90 minutes, while Hearts will be determined not to offer any more encouragement to the chasing pack in the Championship.
Kings Lynn v Stockport County
Stockport County are another team that have games in hand on teams above them so are possibly better than their fourth position in the National League and a win here will see them take advatage of the top-two clash between Torquay and Sutton. Although they’ve drawn four and lost four this season they’ve only dropped three points to teams in the lower half of the league and promoted side Kings Lynn fall in to that category.
On a similar vein, King’s Lynn’s only two home wins have come against teams in the bottom half.
