Roma 8/15 (2.00pm)
Roma’s solid home-form has been the bedrock of their season so far. Unbeaten in seven with five wins they boast the best home record in Serie A, admittedly though those five wins have all come against teams currently occupying 10th place or below.
Sampdoria have won just two in their last 10 in all competition and just three in their last 20 visit to Stadio Olimpico.
Besiktas 8/11 (4.00pm)
In-form Besiktas can jump to the top of the table with a win at bottom-of-the-table Kayserispor. The Black Eagles have suffered three defeats on the road this season but are starting to hit top gear, winning seven of their last eight in all competitions.
Despite their lowly position Kayserispor can be a tough nut to crack but they’ve taken just 5 points from a possible 21 at home and scored just 9 goals in 14 in the Super Lig.
Benfica 2/5 (5.00pm)
Benfica head the pack chasing Sporting at the top of the Primiera Liga. The Eagles only blip this season came with two defeats in the space of a week in November but they’ve recovered well with four wins, albeit against opposition you’d expect them to defeat.
Their visit to Santa Clara falls in to that category and given they’ll be with out talismanic striker Thiago Santana, who has departed for the J-League, the Azoreans face an uphill task here.
Chapecoense 7/10 (Brazil Serie B – 7.00pm)
Chapecoense can go top of the table with a win and have been excellent at home all season, suffering just one defeat in 15. They don’t score many though so don’t expect lots of goals but they’re solid at the back, conceding just four in those 15.
