After making it a winning start to December with a late winner at Portman Road yesterday, Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the German second tier, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me.
⚽️ SC Paderborn vs Hannover 96
🇩🇪 2. Bundesliga
⏰ Sunday 3rd December, 12:30
12th-placed Paderborn welcome 7th-placed Hannover to the Home Deluxe Arena tomorrow lunchtime in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Paderborn have scored 22 goals across their opening 14 2. Bundesliga fixtures this term, with 10 (45%) of them coming at home. Lukas Kwasniok’s hosts have found the back of the net in each of their previous 13 league outings – scoring on multiple occasions in six (46%) of them – and will be confident of continuing their goal-scoring run against a Hannover defence that has recorded a solitary sheet across their opening seven road trips in the 2. Bundesliga, conceding 11 goals.
Stefan Leitl’s visitors have scored 28 goals across their opening 14 matches in the German second tier this campaign, with 11 (39%) of them coming on their travels. Die Roten have only failed to score away at St Pauli (1st) and Hamburg (3rd) in the league this season – scoring two or more goals in 10/14 (71%) of them – and will be confident of finding the target once more against a Paderborn defence that has recorded a single clean sheet in the league this season, conceding 27 goals.
Bet of the Day
Paderborn’s opening 14 2. Bundesliga fixtures this season are averaging 3.50 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals clicking in 10 of their previous 12 – and given the same has landed in 5/7 (71%) of Hannover’s away league outings this term – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three strikes, with both of these sides contributing.
- Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals
- Pays 17/20 (Unibet)
