Croatia v Brazil = Neymar to Score Anytime
Neymar Jr. returned to the XI for Brazil’s knock-out contest against South Korea and Tite’s side look far more accomplished going forward with the PSG man in the side. He’s now been involved I 15 goals in his last 11 appearances for his country and although he tends to be magnet for rash tackles, his ability to get his side moving forward and creating chances is second to none.
Croatia haven’t been particularly free-scoring, but they’ve been fairly tight at the back and it may take something special to unlock their defence. Neymar is also a regular contributor from the penalty spot and with Brazil fast-paced forwards running straight at Dejan Lovren, there is always a chance of a spot-kick in this one.
Netherlands v Argentina = Lionel Messi to Score Anytime
Lionel Messi broke yet another record during his side’s round of 16 victory as he scored his ninth world cup goal, surpassing Diego Maradona’s record. It hasn’t been the most convincing WC from La Albiceleste yet, however, with Messi pulling the strings, there’s always a chance of progressing. He seems determined to propel his side to latter stages of the tournament and he’s almost single-handedly pulled them through the group stages.
Netherlands are a decent side, but they can be susceptible at the back and in his current form, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the PSG man find the back of the net yet again here.
