Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the French Ligue 1, and I’ve come up with a goal and cards-based bet builder for the lunchtime kickoff.

Rennes will look to maintain their position inside the European places as they travel to the Stadium de Toulouse to take on mid-table Toulouse in what should be an exciting affair.
Despite taking the lead midway through the first half, Toulouse saw their five-match unbeaten run come to an end last weekend as they were beaten 2-1 by table-toppers PSG. The reigning champions are also one of only two sides to have defeated Toulouse on home soil this season – the other being Monaco – with Le Téfécé winning six of their previous nine Ligue 1 fixtures in front of their supporters (W6-D2-L1). Those two defeats at home are also the only occasions in which Toulouse have failed to score at home this season, with Philippe Montanier’s side scoring 20 goals across their other nine league matches as hosts.
Despite taking the lead inside the opening minute of the match, Rennes saw their 10-match winning run at Roazhon Park in Ligue 1 come to an end last weekend as they were defeated 1-3 at home to fellow European hopefuls Lille. Bruno Génésio’s side has struggled on their travels this season, winning just two of their 10 road trips (W2-D4-L4), losing each of their previous three. However, Les Rouge et Noir has not failed to score since the opening day of the season, scoring 42 goals across their previous 21 Ligue 1 tussles.

Both Teams to Score has landed in all 10 of Rennes’ Ligue 1 fixtures on the road this season – and given the same has banked in 11 of Toulouse’s previous 15 league outings – there’s a strong chance we’ll see both of these clubs get on the scoresheet once more.
To increase the price, I’m happy to throw in Rennes to be shown at least one card. Les Rennais have picked up a card in all 10 of their Ligue 1 assignments on their travels this season – collecting multiples cards in eight of those – whilst Toulouse has drawn a card from 19/22 (86%) of their Ligue opponents this campaign.
