JD Gaming won against Victory Five (2-0) last Friday as $3.60 underdogs, which was a ridiculous price considering how talented JDG’s roster is. Although their record (7-5) does not inspire much confidence, JDG are good enough to go toe-to-toe with any team in the league, including LNG Esports.
With eight wins (8-4), LNG are in a comfortable spot ahead of the regular season’s penultimate week and are one of the favourites ($7.00) to win the LPL crown. Still, LNG struggled against Weibo Gaming, Victory Five and Top Esports and needed three maps to defeat ThunderTalk Gaming last Friday, which isn’t too convincing.
LNG should defeat JDG, but we don’t know which version of LNG we will see on Tuesday. There’s a world where LNG win in straight maps, but based on what we saw from them last week, they’re equally as likely to drop at least one map.

Victory Five won their 10th match of the season (10-2) against Ultra Prime on Sunday, securing them a spot in the playoffs and keeping V5 in the race for the LPL 2022 Spring regular season title. On the other side, Bilibili Gaming are 7-5, two wins clear of the bottom seven, albeit they still need to face V5, EDward Gaming, Ultra Prime and LGD Gaming, so they’re not in the clear yet.
Based on the teams’ record, it makes sense for Victory Five to be priced as the favourites for this match, but at $1.40, they’re a bit overrated. Admittedly, they are 10-2, but a few of their victories were very close, and we would argue that Victory Five are not that much better than Bilibili Gaming talent-wise.
The offered LoL betting odds seem to be heavily affected by the public perception of how strong Victory Five are, which isn’t very accurate. They should be priced as the favourites, but not much lower than $1.60. The value is with Bilibili Gaming.
