Friday’s Football Bet of the Day see’s me focus on the Dutch Eerste Divisie. I’ve picked my best two selections to give us a nice odds against double.
ADO Den Haag vs AZ II

ADO Den Haag will look to keep the pressure on the top two as they host AZ II at the Cars Jeans Stadion. The hosts are currently 3rd in the league, just four points off Volendam at the top, whereas AZ II ate midtable in 14th.
Den Haag won 1-4 away to Utrecht II last time out to make it five wins on the bounce for Ruud Brood’s side. They scored 16 goals on that winning run, conceding just three goals. Den Haag have won of the best home records in the division, winning six of their eight matches, scoring 19 goals. Den Haag have a great record against bottom sides, with them unbeaten in all nine matches, winning seven of them. Only three sides have scored more goals in the league than Den Haag, with them also possessing the third best defence.
AZ II suffered yet another defeat last time out as they were defeated 0-2 by second placed Excelsior. That’s now nine matches without a win in the league, with them losing six of them. A big problem for AZ II this season is their lack of goals, with no side in the division scoring fewer than their tally of 14. After winning their opening two matches away from home, AZ II have went on to collect just one point from their last six on their travels, failing to score in four of those matches.
Volendam vs PSV II

Volendam will look to collect another three points as they play host to PSV II at the Kras Stadion. Volendam are currently one point ahead of Excelsior at the top of the league, whereas PSV II are in 13th position.
Volendam could only draw 1-1 away to Helmond Sport last time out, but it now means they are unbeaten in each of their last 16 matches in the league. Volendam have one of the strongest home records in the Eerste Divisie, collecting 20 points out of a possible 27. Volendam remain the only side in the division to score in every match, and are the leagues second highest scorers with 44. 23 of those goals have come at home, with them scoring on multiple occasions in seven of them.
PSV II suffered an agonising defeat last time out, as De Graafschap scored a 94th minute winner to win 2-3, which now means it’s just one win in their last five matches. PSV II are one of four sides yet to keep a clean sheet on their travels and have kept just two in their 18 matches. 15 of the 29 goals PSV II have conceded this season have come away from home, with them conceding 2+ in five of their last six.
Bet of the Day
ADO Den Haag have won each of their last five in the Eerste Divisie and will fancy making it six as they play host to an out of form AZ II side. The visitors have failed to win any of their last nine in the league, failing to score in seven of them and will find it tough against an in form Den Haag side. The hosts are strong at home and I’m backing them to collect yet another three points and keep the pressure on the top two. Volendam are on a 16 match unbeaten run in the Eerste Divisie and I’m backing them to be too strong for a mid table PSV II side. The visitors struggle to keep clean sheets and are leaky on their travels and that spells trouble for them as they come up against the leagues second highest scorers. Volendam have scored 44 times this season and I’m backing the league leaders to add to that tally and score at least twice here.
