12.17 – Fitzdares Supports The British Racing School Novices’ Hurdle (2m)
Balco Coastal is an interesting newcomer for Nicky Henderson at a track where the Seven Barrows supremo tends to fare well but previous hurdles winners MORIKO DE VASSY and Peejaybee won’t be easy to overcome as both have scope for significant progress under their penalties. Tom Symonds’ charge was impressive visually and on the clock at Hereford and could be quite smart.

12.47 – Fitzdares Cotswolds Club Is Coming Soon Novices’ Chase (2m7½f)
Barbados Buck’s rather lived up to the family name with some sketchy fencing at Wetherby on chasing bow and will need to improve in that regard now fitted with blinkers if he’s going to take this prize. OSCAR ELITE by contrast was making a positive impression at Cheltenham in a good novices’ contest at the November before he crashed out late on. If he puts in a clear round under Brendan Powell he’ll hold strong claims.

1.17 – Fitzdares Times Is Out This Week Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle (2m4½f)
ANNUAL REVIEW has finished third in his two starts since going over hurdles after joining the Fergal O’Brien team in the early autumn. Both those runs would be filed under encouraging and it’s interesting to see him stretched out in trip for this handicap debut. He could be a place player again for sure.

1.52 – Fitzdares Peterborough Chase (Grade 2, 2m4f)
He looks very much at home over this intermediate trip and the form of his Old Roan Chase win at Aintree has worked out rather well, so this looks to be a race that revolves around ALLMANKIND for Dan and Harry Skelton. He gave weight and a beating to the likes of Midnight Shadow and Fanion D’Estruval at Aintree, both winners of big handicaps next time, while runner-up Itchy Feet finished second to Bravemansgame since. He’s setting a strong standard and his only defeat over fences was in the Arkle won by Shishkin in March.

2.27 – Fitzdares Loves Nick Luck Daily Handicap Hurdle (1m7½f)
Interesting to see if Pipesmoker can kick on after opening his account for Kim Bailey at Lingfield last month, though he was admittedly given a big helping hand when his main market rival exited just as battle lines were being established. RESTANDBETHANKFUL won twice over this sort of distance in May and ran in two better races upon reappearing in October. With Olly Murphy’s string flying, he drops in grade and has gained some relief from the assessor to boot.

2.57 – Fitzdares Adores Henrietta Knight Mares’ Open NH Flat Race (Listed, 2m)
LADY JANE P looked a decent prospect on her winning Newton Abbot bow last September before being well-held on soft ground at Cheltenham in November. Fergal O’Brien’s charge missed the rest of last season but reappeared with a good (clear) second at Worcester in October. Slightly better ground her favours her and we’ve likely not seen the best from her yet. Presenting Kelly and Flying Sara heap up the list of possible dangers in an open event.

3.27 – Fitzdares Wishes Everyone A Merry Christmas Handicap Chase (2m7½f)
Lightly-raced point-to-point winner AKI BOMAYE was returning from a wind op and a summer break when he chased home The Mighty Arc at Worcester (2m4f, good to soft) on his chasing bow for Colin Tizzard’s team last month. With the yard in form and this step up to a staying trip expected to suit, he looks sure to go very well again in the Huntingdon finale.
