The race for the Scudetto is hotting up and all three teams in contention for the Serie A title – Napoli, Milan and Inter – are in action on Saturday following a busy midweek of matches.
Milan Should Shut Out Salernitana
One point off top spot, Milan are progressing well in Serie A under the stewardship of Stefano Pioli and are 1/5 to 0defeat struggling Salernitana, who are 12/1 to record maximum points.
November was not a great month for Pioli’s men but they have won two of their last three matches, winning to nil against Atletico Madrid and Genoa either side of defeat to Sassuolo.
Their latest win to nil represented their fifth clean sheet of the season and the return of Alessio Romagnoli from suspension will only enhance their rearguard for this contest.
Salernitana have scored only 11 goals in 15 league contests this season and the Milan win to nil is the way to go in this one at 20/23.
Atalanta Can Push Pacesetters Napoli
While Milan should keep the score down against Salernitana by recording a clean sheet, it could be a different story when Napoli welcome Atalanta to the Stadio San Paolo.
Goals are always likely when Atalanta are in town with the Bergamo side having seen over 3.5 goals in six of their previous eight assignments.
Mario Pasalic’s hat-trick in the 4-0 win over Venezia last time out demonstrated that they have goals in multiple departments while the same can be said for Napoli, whose front three of Lorenzo Insigne, Dries Mertens and Hirving Lozano are impressing in the absence of Victor Osimhen.
Atalanta can be unpredictable so the 37/20 about them winning and the 29/20 on offer for a Napoli win are worth swerving. Instead, punters may look to back over 3.5 goals at 6/4.
Inter Can Prevail in the Capital
Inter claimed a huge win over Napoli in the context of the Serie A title race last month and that 3-2 victory was the start of a four-game winning sequence for the Milan outfit.
And after having also seen off Shakhtar Donetsk, Venezia and Spezia in their three matches since then, they look a great bet to beat Jose Mourinho’s Roma.
Roma have not really looked themselves since that harrowing 6-1 defeat to minnows Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League, having lost three of their last five league assignments. Those losses came against Milan, Venezia and Bologna.
They will also not be helped by the likely absence of key creative midfielder and captain Lorenzo Pellegrino for this contest and are available at 14/5 to come out on top. The draw can be backed at 53/20.
Inter have not lost any of their previous ten matches in all competitions, having moved into contention for a knockout spot in the Champions League as well, and they are worth a bet to win this one at 20/21.
