Week 10 of the NFL season was a whirlwind. There were multiple major injuries reported around the league which you never want to see. It wasn’t all doom and gloom, we saw some great positives too – in particular, Cam Newton being one of them, stepping up and delivering in limited playing time for the Carolina Panthers. Week 11 should bring similar exciting stories as we have a number of high-profile matchups to dive into, starting with two games that are looking to be the best on the slate.
Arizona Cardinals @ Seattle Seahawks
Both the Cardinals and the Seahawks suffered tough losses last week, though they weren’t playing near the level we have grown accustomed to. For one, Arizona didn’t have both Kyler Murray and Deandre Hopkins as they missed their second straight game due to an injury. Then Seattle saw Russell Wilson return to the field after getting surgery on his finger and had to go against a top five defense in the league on the road. Neither team was set up to win their respective games, but they have a chance in this one. It seems like the Cardinals and Seahawks always have great games and this one should be no different. I really like what Seattle has been doing despite all of the defensive issues and quarterback troubles. However, the Cardinals are 8-2 for a reason. If Murray and Hopkins make it onto the field, I would roll with the Cardinals in this one. Although, if one of them can’t go then Seattle is in perfect line for a huge upset.
Dallas Cowboys @ Kansas City Chiefs
Well, this is certainly going to be a high scoring game. Without a doubt I see this game totalling over 60 points and here’s why. Dallas just dropped over 40 points on the Atlanta Falcons in a game that literally wasn’t even close after the first ten minutes of the first quarter. Then, the Chiefs just blasted the Las Vegas Raiders and seriously had that game wrapped up by halftime. Each team has had bad games and in the Chiefs case they are extremely inconsistent. However, the talent that each offense boasts is unbelievable. Kansas City has struggled in some games to defend the pass and Dallas has as well despite a league leading seven interceptions from Trevon Diggs. It won’t be the prettiest defensive game out there, but points will be aplenty. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dak Prescott and Patrick Mahomes throw three touchdowns each either. I’ll take the Chiefs though; I still have confidence that they can go back to the team that we all saw last season.
New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Giants got a nice week off and they really needed it. The injuries have piled up for them all season but when healthy they are a surprisingly talented underdog team. Daniel Jones has been far better than years past, his offensive line has just been horrible. He also has seen about five wide receivers go down with injuries and come back at sporadic times. But we have seen this Giants team nearly knock off the Buccaneers last season behind some solid defensive play. That might happen again as this Tampa Bay team is struggling heavily right now. Tom Brady turned it over three times in a bad loss to the New Orleans Saints, then everybody expected a huge bounce back game coming out of the bye week. Only he threw multiple interceptions and was upset by a Washington Football Team that played the majority of the game without Chase Young due to his injury. Brady won’t have that type of performance again, but don’t count out New York in this game. We all remember how Brady has a thing about those Giants uniforms.
