Hamilton v Inverness
CALEY THISTLE are top of the Championship and going great guns under Billy Dodds and they should continue that win a win at struggling Hamilton Accies.
Inverness have started the season terrifically and have only dropped points once all season – in a draw at Dunfermline.
They are up against an Accies side who have seen their return to the second tier turn into a nightmare. They have lost every game they have played in the league at home this season and have yet to score at New Douglas Park.
In fact, including last season, they have now gone six home league games without scoring. They have been struggling with injuries and find scoring goals a real problem.
At the other end, Hamilton have already conceded 14 goals this season, compared with ICT, who have only lost two goals all season.
It all adds up the odds-against price of 21/20 being a solid one.
Livingston v St Mirren
ST MIRREN look overpriced at 2/1 to win at Livingston.
Saints managed to get their first league win of the season last week against Aberdeen, although the game did change when the Dons were reduced to ten men.
No matter, Jim Goodwin’s side also impressed when they drew 2-2 with Hibs at Easter Road in a game where they arguably could have won it.
Livingston were beyond dire in last week’s 3-0 capitulation at Hearts and while it wasn’t a surprise that they lost, what was a shock was their lack of fight and commitment.
David Martindale seems to have a real problem deciding on his best XI for games and it’s anyone guess what team he will select here.
The momentum seems to be with the Pasley side and they seem far too big to get the three points.
Elgin City v Stirling Albion
STIRLING ALBION have been in great form recently and can carry that on whwn they travel to the Highlands to face Elgin City.
Last week’s thumping of Cowdenbeath was their fourth win in five in League Two and they have options up front with the likes of Dylan Mackin and Dale Carrick banging in the goals.
They don’t have a particularly good record against Elgin, but they look well placed to change that at 5/4 this weekend.
