Here is Damian with this weekend’s selections.
He says: “Montrose were tipped up here at 5-4 last weekend and ran out easy 4-0 winners but sadly no first goalscorer to go with it.
“I am sticking with the Gable Endies again this despite the fact they play host to title favourites Falkirk.
“Montrose have put together an incredible 10-game league run since the end of September – winning eight, drawing one and losing the other.
“As a result they have gone from bottom of the table up to fifth place and sit just two points behind the Bairns who are fourth.
“During the same 10-game league period Falkirk have won just three of their games, drawing five and losing the other two.
“In six of those matches Falkirk have scored either a single goal or not scored at all and they are surely too short at 11=10 to win away to against a side with the best form in the division.
“Montrose’s Blair Lyons has been part of the mini-revival this season and he has seven goals from 24 appearances. Lyons scored in the 4-0 win over Clyde at the weekend and is 13-2 with McBookie to score the first goal on Saturday.
“In League Two there might just be a bit of value about bottom club Brechin. Just six points separate Brechin and fifth-placed Elgin which suggests there probably isn’t much in it between the bottom six clubs.
“The betting says otherwise as Elgin are 4-9 favourites at home to 5-1 shots Brechin.
“That betting looks too wide apart for me given the relative points tallies of the two sides as well as the Hedgemen having won their last two games.
“Brechin’s Paul McManus has been banging in the goals in League Two despite his side’s lowly position and has scored seven league goals from 14 appearances (a third of his club’s total). McBookie make McManus 13-2 to score the opener.
“Finally, moving back up into League One and the goals have totally dried up for Clyde who have scored just once in their last six hours football.
“Clyde striker David Goodwillie had been long odds on to win the division’s top-scorer gong but is back out to odds against after bagging just a single goal from his last seven outings.
“Until the scoring touch returns Clyde are worth taking on and face a tough task a home to an Airdrie side who have won seven of their last eight games.
“I really thought the Diamonds would be odds on for this so the 21-20 quote about them looks fair. Airdrie’s Callum Gallagher has 12 goals from 22 appearances this season and scored in six of his last seven games. He is 9-2 to net. first.”
