LIKE Greg maybe I should start doing goals doubles instead of treble.
While his Europa League double landed at 13-10 my 41-10 and 5-1 both to score trebles were a goal short – thanks to Eintracht Frankfurt and Feyenoord failing to hit the target.
Eintracht not scoring was a huge surprise while Rangers did well to keep a clean sheet against the Dutch. I’ve lost count of the number of trebles I’ve beaten by one this month so it could be safer doubles next week.
Well done to Greg and all the other winners and after a busy midweek my full concentration is on Saturday’s card and I’ve posted a Super Single shortlist for members only.
On Friday we have what should be a decent south-coast derby between Southampton and Bournemouth while in the Scottish Cup Lowland League title favourites Kelty Hearts are at home to junior kingpins Auchinleck Talbot in an interesting tie. Should be close but I reckon Barry Ferguson’s Kelty will edge it.
On the Continent we have Osasuna v Real Betis, Cagliari v Genoa, Schalke v Mainz and Strasbourg v Nantes among others. And of course there are lower-league games in France and Holland.
I’ll put up at least one bet after I finishing my Saturday write-ups for the Daily Record.
