THE Euro 2020 qualifiers were generally profitable but there’s nothing like league football for punters to get their teeth into.
Liverpool v Newcastle is a good starter and later Norwich v Man City will be action-packed unless the Canaries find a bus to park. And boss Daniel Farke says they’re injury ravaged.
Game of the day though could be one that’s not live and I fully expect Man United v Leicester to be a cracker and every chance of Brendan Rodgers’ unbeaten side leaving with at least a point.
Remember with top clubs having had so many stars away there could be some shock results with players having featured in double headers and some travelling long distances.
I’ve posted separate English and Scottish previews where most of my tips are reasoned. North of the border we’re not mentioning the qualifiers and while it’s a relief the international break is over there isn’t a standout game in the Premiership.
Celtic head to Hamilton in the live lunchtime game and should notch up an easy win while Rangers will be expected to put away Livingston in style at Ibrox even though their visitors are unbeaten.
Game of the day could be Ayr v Dundee United in the Championship with hotshot striker Lawrence Shankland returning to his former club.
Check out all the match previews and posts from the regulars and good luck with all of your bets.
On Friday my Super Single was void with Arbroath being held by Partick Thistle and the Top Treble was beaten in the final minute by Amiens equalising against Lyon. Hopefully anyone would have covered but I was too busy battling deadlines at the Daily Record to comment.
Well done to all the winners including Scott with a cracking members bet which was Wout Weghorst to score for Fortuna Dusseldorf at 6-4.
