There are only three weeks left in the NFL regular season, and Week 16 starts with a match at the Nissan Stadium as the Tennessee Titans entertain the San Francisco 49ers.
The Titans are still in a commanding position as the third seed in the AFC Conference, but their grip on that spot is loosening as each week passes, while the 49ers look to be finishing the campaign in red-hot form.
Visitors to Target Vulnerable Ryan Tannehill
Tennessee quarterback Ryan Tannehill has struggled recently, and that is not good news for the Titans.
With the playoffs almost in reach, Tannehill needs to be firing on all cylinders to get his team into a prime spot.
He has thrown six interceptions, and just two touchdown passes over the last month, although he has had injuries to contend with. While his options have been scarce, Tannehill looks a little shaky, and that should offer plenty of encouragement Nick Bosa.
The Titans pass protection might struggle to keep Bosa at bay as he has secured a sack in six consecutive games, one short of a 49ers record. He has 15 sacks in total to tie him for third in the NFL, and with that threat, backing under 20.5 Titans points at 10/11 is well worthy of consideration.
Niners’ Offence Clicking at Right Time
The 49ers, who are 4/6 to win on Thursday night, seem to have found their groove at the right time this season.
They have won five of their last six games, and their offence has continued to improve during that time.
Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has recorded a passer rating of 90-or-higher in eight games in a row, while tight end George Kittle has recorded at least 90 receiving yards in each of his past three games.
Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk also look to have found some form, and backing the 49ers -3 at 25/26 appears to be the way to go this week.
Pro Bowl Nominations Prove Niners are Real Deal
The NFL announced the 2022 Pro Bowl Roster, and five members of the 49ers team saw their name on the list.
Bosa, Kyle Juszczyk, George Kittle, Samuel and Trent Williams were all given nominations, while seven others were listed as alternatives.
The 49ers accrued the third most votes for their players overall of any team, and their star-studded roster will be looking to prove their worth this week.
San Fransisco have won the last two meetings between the pair, and with Tennessee missing the left side of their offensive line, a comfortable win away from home by 7-12 points appeals at 17/4.
