THE bookies cleaned up on Day One at the Cheltenham Festival as much-fancied horses failed to live up to their expectations of punters and this was reflected in the results of my Tipster Contest.
Over 40% of entrants failed to register a SINGLE point across all SIX races, but one standout performance came from long-time member @duck57 who scored 21 points out of a possible 30, remarkably predicting the winner of the first four races at combined odds of an amazing 7,854/1! He takes Day One’s top prize of £30 in cash – small consolation if he didn’t back the four-fold!

Day Two
So it’s on to Day Two and another chance to win some cash.
The competition is pretty straight-forward, we focus on the first 6 races each day at the Festival, you just need to tell me who will win each of them. You’ll get 5 points if your horse wins, 3 points for second place and 1pt for third. The person with the most points will win £30 in cash (sent via Paypal). Those who finish 2nd and 3rd will win £10 in cash. In the event of a draw I’ll pick a winner at random from the highest scorers.
But that’s not all, if you’re the Top Tipster at the end of the week, with the highest accumulated points across the four days you’ll win another £50 in CASH out of my pocket! In the event of a draw I’ll pick a winner at random from the highest scorers.
To enter the competition you need to list your six horse and quote the odds from the Racebets site. The competition starts with Tuesday’s card and what your entry should look like:
