Liverpool can open up a five point gap at the top of the table if they can overcome Bournemouth in today’s Super Sunday match.
The league leaders have lost just once on the road in the league but have won only half of their ten away matches. But they’ve a good record against today’s opponents, winning eight of the last nine meetings between the sides.
Bournemouth’s had a brilliant run of form before the end of the year but defeat at Spurs brought to an end a run of seven without defeat (W6 D1).
Although they’ve picked up a healthy 25 points they’ve managed just one point in six games against teams currently in the top five. Their record reads; P6 W0 D1 L5 F5 A20 and the Cherries conceded two or more in each of those matches.
The should give punters confidence that Liverpool can claim the three points at the Vitality today. The win is 7/10 and if you throw in two or more goals for the Reds it’s 20/23. If you’re a bit more ambitious it’s 9/5 with three or more for Jurgen Klopp’s men.
It’s a clash of the green and white hoops in the east end of Glasgow today as Buckie Thistle from the fifth tier Highland League travel to the home of the 41-time winners of the Scottish Cup, Celtic.
It should be a mis-match of epic proportions with odds of 100/1 available on the minnows to spring the biggest upset in the competition’s 151 year history.
Brendan Rodgers will no doubt take the opportunity to freshen things up, especially with the absence of five players at the Asian Cup. New signing Nicolas Kuhn won’t make it either but there could be a few players find their way on to the scoresheet today.
Captain Callum McGregor has only managed one goal this season but is 11/4 to double his tally today. He’s almost certain to start and that kind of price is what you’d expect to see against Premiership opposition.
Liam Scales is another who should be in the starting XI. The centre half has weighed in with a couple of goals this term and can make his presence felt in the box at set pieces today. The Irishman is 20/1 to open the scoring and 4/1 to score anytime.
This is a game Celtic should totally dominate, which of course leads us to corners where it’s 6/5 on the Premiership leaders to earn over five. We’re usually getting those kind of odds for them to get over four against top flight opposition so this feels like a steal against a team that’s four tiers below them.

Oh So Grand was a 1.5pt NAP winner for Rizzel on Saturday. For Sunday, he has picked three from Lingfield’s jump meeting, which has a chance of going ahead despite the cold weather.
