Well here it is folks, it’s the final golfing event for 2023 with this week’s Mauritius Open at La Réserve Golf Links, Heritage Golf Club, Bel Ombré, Mauritius.
The 156 field with the top 65 including ties making round three will all be competing for a share of the $1.2M prize purse with the winner collecting the Mauritius Open title & a winning cheque for $200,000.
Antoine Rozner returns to defend his Mauritius Open crown tipped by The Caddy last year at 16/1 just in time for Christmas. His winning scorecard from 2022 read 269,-19.
La Reserve Golf Links will be playing 7,111 yards long this week, it’s a brand new par 72 Links venue opened only last week & as is the case on any links course, putting will be pivotal for success.
It’s been yet another fantastic year for The Caddy hitting the dozen or more mark for outright winners , that’s now the 3rd year in a row since it all began that The Caddy has recorded mega profits.

The weather forecasts hot & sunny conditions with frequent showers throughout. Breezes will peak at around 15mph.
So let’s move on with this week’s Mauritius Open betting tips as The Caddy looks for a repeat of last year’s success here.
Antoine Rozner 14/1 EW Ladbrokes / Coral 1-8 places
For my first & main pick at La Reserve Golf Links, I’m going to look no further than the man who brought it home for us last year, just in time for Santa’s arrival, Antoine Rozner 14/1 EW Ladbrokes / Coral 1-8 places.
The 30-year-old Spaniard arrives in Mauritius to defend his title on the back of some fine recent form. He has three Top 20 finishes at the last half dozen attempts, T15th last weekend at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, T11th at the DP World Tour Championship amongst a bust of big names & T10th at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
He’s not won since scooping this event last year but has come close on a few occasions with 3rd at the SDC Championship being his best effort in 2023. Antoine Rozner for some reason always produces at this time of the year & although this event won’t be on the same course, it’s the new one next to it, he’ll still be in familiar territory & could defend his title in style with another runaway victory just he did in 2022, five shots to be exact.
Sebastian Soderberg 25/1 EW Boylesports 1-8 places
For my next selection, I’m going to single out Sebastian Soderberg 25/1 EW Boylesports 1-8 places.
The 33-year-old Swede hasn’t been seen since the DP World Tour Championship & he could go well this week after a well-earned break. Soderberg hasn’t missed a cut for over a dozen events & can boast three Top 10 finishes amongst the above-mentioned. That’s now half a dozen Top 10 finishes for Sebastian in 2023 but the best clue from them all could be the recent 5th place effort at the recent Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland.
That event was held over three of the finest Links Courses in the world, St Andrews Old Course, Kingsbarns & Carnoustie & if you remember the weather was dreadful which resulted in a three-day event.
With showers being forecast throughout again this weekend & with this year’s event being played on a brand new links course that no one’s competed on yet, the door could be wide open for Sebastian Soderberg to bag his first W since 2019.
Casey Jarvis 50/1 EW PaddyPower 1-7 places
For my final tip in 2023, I’m going to point you in the direction of Casey Jarvis 50/1 EW PaddyPower 1-7 places. Please believe me when I say you’ll be hearing much more about this 20yrs old kid from South Africa next year & beyond. He could find himself in the laps of the golfing gods this weekend with his first professional victory in Mauritius a definite possibility.
T7th at the Alfred Dunhill Championship just a few days back was a tremendous effort from the new kid on the block & I have a feeling that it won’t be long before he tastes success on the DPWT.
Casey Jarvis has made the cut at every event entered since progressing from the Challenge Tour where he finished 2nd in the Race to Mallorca to earn his DPWT card for next year. He’s still finding his feet amongst the big boys but this could be the best Christmas yet for this talented kid when he becomes a maiden DPWT Champion scooping the Mauritius Open title this weekend along with all the accolades.
