Tonight’s live match comes from the Championship where Coventry City welcome West Bromwich Albion and hopefully they’ll be out to put on a show in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
It’s hard to make sense of both sides’ form. Coventry might be 20th in the table but they remain unbeaten at home (W3 D4). However, they’ve lost their last two, away from home, to teams in the bottom reaches of the division; Bristol City (15th) and Rotherham (22nd).
West Brom are eleven places above them and there’s five points separating them. The Baggies have won two of their last four matches (W2 D1 L1), both also against struggling opposition in the shape of QPR, who have just sacked manager Gareth Ainsworth, and Sheffield Wednesday who picked up their first win of the season yesterday.
On the betting front the Sky Blues are 5/4 favs whit the visitors at 9/4. At those prices the Baggies could be the value bet.
Over in Norway Bodo/Glimt can take another huge step towards a third title in four years if they can beat Lillestrom.
Title challengers Brann and Viking both faltered yesterday, leaving Kjetil Knutsen’s men six points clear with a game in hand and just five to play.
Lillestrom, in sixth with little left to play for, look like they’re nursing their way to the end of the season. That means a hungry Bodo/Glimt can tie up the three points. They’re 4/11 to win but it’s 10/11 that they’re winning at half time and full time.Alternatively you can have 5/6 on them scoring three or more – something they’ve done in five of their last seven in all competitions.
