After making it a remarkable seven successive BOTD winners in Sweden on Sunday, Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the EFL, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Dave Challinor’s visitors are the fourth-highest scorers in League Two, scoring 29 goals across their opening 14 matches, with 13 (45%) of them coming across their six road trips. The Hatters have made the net bulge in each of their previous 13 encounters in the league – striking two or more in nine of their last 10 – and they will be confident in breaching an Alex defence that’s registered just two shutouts in the league this campaign, conceding 23 goals.

Crewe’s opening 14 matches in League Two this season are averaging a whopping 4.07 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals landing in 11 (79%) of them – and given the same has landed in each of Stockport’s opening six League Two tussles on their travels – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three strikes, with both of these high-scoring sides getting on the scoresheet.
