Looking to make it five winners in-a-row following last night’s success in South Wales, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the English National League, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Resurgent York City travel to the Silverlake Stadium to take on mid-table Eastleigh on Saturday afternoon in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Richard Hill’s hosts have scored 22 goals across their opening 15 matches in the National League this term, with 15 (68%) of them coming in front of their supporters. The Spitfires have scored two or more goals in five of their previous six league outings on home soil – even striking three or more in three (50%) of them – and they will be confident of adding to their tally against a York defence that’s registered a solitary clean sheet in the league this season, with only bottom side Fylde (35) conceding more than their tally of 29.
Neal Ardley’s visitors have scored 23 goals across their opening 15 fixtures in the National League this campaign, with nine (39%) of them coming on their travels. The Minstermen have only failed to score twice in the National League all season – striking on multiple seven of their previous eight – and they will be confident in finding the target once more against an Eastleigh defence that’s registered just three shutouts this season, conceding 26 goals.

York City’s opening 15 matches in the National League this season are averaging 3.47 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals banked in 11 (73%) of them, including in nine of their previous 11 – and given the same has landed in six of Eastleigh’s last seven National League matches – I’m happy to have a punt on there to be at least three strikes with both teams contributing in this one.
