Following on from yesterday’s winner in Bolivia, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the EFL, and there is one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals.

Crewe will look to strengthen their position in the League Two playoff places as they welcome lowly Tranmere to Gresty Road on Saturday afternoon, and I fancy them to bag another brace at home to their leaky opponents.
Crewe suffered just their second defeat of the season, and their first in seven matches in League Two last weekend, as they fell to a controversial 4-2 defeat away at Salford City. However, The Alex remain unbeaten at home in the league this term, collecting 14 points from a possible 18 (W4-D2-L0) – as well as winning each of their last three – with only league leaders Notts County and 8th-placed Crawley Town (Both 15) earning more.
Interim boss Nigel Adkins saw his Tranmere side stretch their unbeaten record at home to three matches last weekend, as they followed up victories over Accrington (11th) and Bradford (14th) by coming from 1-2 down to draw 2-2 against Grimsby (18th). However, Rovers have been woeful on their travels, losing each of their opening five League Two tussles on the road by an aggregate score of 12-4.
Bet of the Day
Crewe are the leading scorers in the English fourth tier, banging in 28 goals across their opening 12 matches, with 15 (54%) of them coming on home soil. The Railwaymen have remarkably struck a minimum of two goals in 11/12 (92%) of their League Two contests – including in all six in front of their supporters – and I’m backing them to bag another brace at home to a Tranmere defence that has failed to keep a clean sheet on the road this term, conceding multiple goals in each of their previous four.
