With 40,000 Ukrainian fans expected in Poland tonight it could be an emotionally charged match for England to navigate.
Gareth Southgate’s men have made the perfect start to Group C with four wins from four but defeat tonight would move Ukraine within three points with a game in hand. But the Three Lions have been here before and have a formidable record in qualifying.
A win in Italy put them in pole position in the group and a win in Wroclaw this evening at 2/5 would all but seal qualification.

Eighteen months ago North Macedonia pulled off one of the biggest shocks in international football when they won 1-0 in Palermo to end Italy’s hopes of qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar but that feels like a high water mark for the country who have only won four of 14 since (against Gibraltar x 2, Malta and Faroe Islands) so a repeat of that incredible result looks unlikely in Skopje tonight.
After a 2-1 home defeat to England the Azzurri look like they’re playing for second place in the group so there’s no room for any slip-ups and they should grind out a win at 3/10. The Italians don’t give much away against lesser opposition so a win to nil could be on the cards at 10/11.
Elsewhere, Sweden and Belgium should pick up wins in Estonia and Azerbaijan respectively. Add in Italy for an 11/10 Treble.
There’s a raft of Challenge Cup matches in Scotland today. Raith Rovers at 10/11 look the pick of the bunch to beat Cliftonville at Starks Park. The Belfast side sit fifth in the NIFL Premiership having lost away to Linfield and Glentiran already this season.
Rovers have been finalists in the last three editions of the competition, although the trophy was shared with Inverness in 2020 when the final was unable to be played, so they’ve a strong tradition in the tournament and will be taking this seriously.
An Over 2.5 Goals Treble at Partick Thistle versus free-scoring Queen of the South, high-flying Hamilton at Coleraine and League One scrappers Montrose and Cove Rangers pays 39/10.
