The opening Football Bet of the Day of September sees me focus on the opening fixture of round 4 in Ligue 1, and I like the look of the visitors bagging a couple of goals.

Marseille will look to move three points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table tomorrow evening as they travel to the Stade de la Beaujoire to take on struggling Nantes.
After securing their top-flight status last season by a solitary point, Nantes boss Pierre Aristouy would have hoped to have made a positive start to the new campaign but that hasn’t exactly been the case. The Canaries lost their opening two Ligue 1 fixtures by conceding a stoppage-time goal at home to Toulouse before expectingly losing 2-0 away at Lille. Last time out, it appeared as if they’d claim their first win of the season as they raced into a 2-0 and then 3-1 lead over Monaco, but were fortunate in the end to even claim a point in the end as the match finished in a 3-3 draw.
New Marseille boss Marcelino made a nightmare start to his tenure, as despite winning the second leg of their Champions League qualifier 2-1, went on to lose on penalties to Greek side Panathanaikos. However, Les Olympiens sit joint-top after three rounds of fixtures in Ligue 1, thanks to back-to-back home wins over Reims and Brest, as well as drawing 2-2 away at newly-promoted Metz in a match they dominated.

After firing a blank in Greece in their opening competitive match of the campaign, Marseille have gone on to bag a brace in each of their next four, including in each of their opening three Ligue 1 outings. OM also won both meetings with Nantes last season, scoring twice in each victory, and I’m backing them to bag another double against a vulnerable-looking Canaries defence that has already shipped seven goals across their opening three Ligue 1 fixtures this season, conceding on multiple occasions in each.
