Looking to make it an incredible 10 winners in a row, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the fixture in the Icelandic top-flight – and I’m backing the hosts to claim another maximum in front of their supporters.

FH will look to continue their strong record at home tomorrow evening as they welcome away-day strugglers KA to the Kaplakriki Stadium.
Despite heading into half-time 1-2 behind, FH scored two unanswered goals in the second half to claim an impressive 3-2 victory over 2nd-placed Valur last time out. Heimir Guðjónsson’s men have now been victorious in 7/10 (70%) of their league contests on home soil this campaign (W7-D1-L2), with that record changing to W6-D0-L1) when excluding matches against the breakaway top three.
KA put an end to their four-match winless run in the league last time out, as they scored a stoppage-time winner to defeat Stjarnan 2-1 at home. Whilst that’s now five games unbeaten on home soil for Hallgrímur Jónasson’s men, it’s on their travels they have really struggled this term. The Akureyri-based club have lost seven of their nine away league matches (W2-D0-L7) – including all five away at top-half sides – failing to even score a goal in five (71%) of those defeats.

As already alluded to, FH have been strong at their home base this campaign, particularly against the teams around and below them in the table. The Hafnarfjörður-based club have W6-D0-L1 of their meetings with teams positioned in 4th and below, and I’m backing them to claim another three points in front of their supporters against a KA side that has lost all five of their road trips against top-half sides in the league this season.
