Following back-to-back winners in Switzerland and China, Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the EFL, and one fixture in particular appeals to me for goals.

Two of the early entertainers in League Two this season go head-to-head at Gresty Road tomorrow afternoon as Crewe Alexandra plays host to Walsall in a fixture that appeals to me for goals.
Lee Bell’s hosts have begun the season in an entertaining fashion, as they followed up their opening day 2-2 draw at home to Mansfield by recording another 2-2 scoreline away at Swindon. However, The Railwaymen grabbed their first three points of the season in midweek, as they defeated Newport County 4-2 to move into the final playoff spot.
Mat Sadler’s visitors began the season in agonising fashion, as they conceded in stoppage-time to lose 2-1 away at recently-relegated Morecambe. However, The Saddlers bounced back with a 2-1 victory of their own against last season’s beaten playoff finalist Stockport County before losing 4-2 away at last season’s National League champions Wrexham on Tuesday evening.
Bet of the Day
At this early stage of the season, Crewe’s fixtures have been laden with goals, with an eye-catching total of 14 goals being scored across their opening three League Two fixtures this season, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in each – and given there have been a minimum of three strikes in each of Walsall’s first three league encounters this season – I’m happy to have a punt on there being at least three here in what promises to be an entertaining match-up in Cheshire tomorrow afternoon.
