Gimcheon Sangmu will look to potentially go top of the K League 2 table on Wednesday morning as they welcome away-day strugglers Chungnam Asan to the Gimcheon Stadium.
Gimcheon Sangmu saw their four-match winning run come to an end last time out, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat away at 6th-placed Gimpo FC. No side have collected more points in front of their supporters in the Korean second tier than Gimcheon Sangmu, with the military-owned side collecting 17 points from a possible 27 (W5-D2-L2), with that record changing to W3-D1-L0 when welcoming teams currently positioned in 7th and below.
Chungnam Asan suffered just their third defeat at home this season, as they threw away a 2-1 lead to lose 2-3 against 4th-placed Anyang. Park Dong-hyuk’s visitors have struggled on their travels this term, collecting just eight points from a possible 30 (W2-D2-L6), with just one of those points coming in their six trips to sides positioned in 7th and above.

Chung Jung-Yong’s hosts have found the back of the net in 8/9 (89%) of their meetings with the bottom six sides – netting on multiple occasions in seven (78%) of them – and I’m backing them to bag another brace at home to a Chungnam Asan defence that has shipped two or more goals in 5/6 (83%) of their trips to sides positioned in 7th and above.
