A 2-0 win over Czech Republic got England U21’s Euro finals off to the perfect start and they’re out to make it two from two this evening.
Standing in their way are Israel who scrapped their way to a draw against Germany in their opening match which saw eight players booked and the Israelis finish with 10 men.
Goalkeeper Daniel Peretz was the hero with two penalty saves to deny the defending champions victory as the game finished 1-1.
It’ll be a big ask for Israel to pull off another backs-to-the-wall performance and come away with something from the match against the young Lions so England at 1/3 should grab the three points which will see them go in to Wednesday’s clash with Germany needing just a point to top the group.
Emile Smith Rowe’s added-time goal added a bit of shine to England’s victory over the Czechs and the Arsenal man is 2/1 to add to his eight goals at this level. He came off the bench in that one but if he’s handed a starting berth he could be the man to break Israel down.
After dropping two points to Israel and with England still to come Germany really need a win this evening over Czech Republic. They’ve a strong pedigree in this competition, appearing in the last three finals, winning two of them.
Coach Antonio di Salvo was a frustrated man on Thursday but says he’s convinced they can win this one.
The England/Germany Double pays 6/5 at Bet365.
They’re almost half way through the Eliteserien season in Norway and already it looks like Bodo/Glimt’s to lose. Kjetil Knutsen’s men have raced 10 points clear and remain unbeaten after 11 games. They should be a solid enough pick at Stromsgodset tonight and should score a couple of goals in the process since they’ve scored two or more in each of their matches so far.
Molde also look due to hand someone a skelping and it could be Haugesund this afternoon. The defending champions have stuggled to make things click so far this season but still look strong at home and taking them to also win and score two or more makes for an even money Double.
Best value bet of the day could be Odd at 2/1 to win at struggling HamKam. The hosts started the season well but are now winless in seven whilst Odd, who don’t score too many, have notched impressive wins over Brann and Molde so far.
