Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the near full card in the Finnish Veikkausliiga, and there’s one fixture in particular that appeals to me for goals at both ends.

One of the Finnish Veikkausliiga’s entertainers so far this season, FC Haka, welcome Ilves to Tehtaan kenttä on Wednesday afternoon, and I like the look of goals at both ends.
FC Haka are the fourth-highest scorers in the Finnish top flight, scoring 13 goals, with nine of those coming in front of their supporters. Teemu Tainio’s men have found the back of the net in each of their opening four league matches on home soil – striking two or more in three (75%) of them – and will look to breach an Ilves defence that has registered just two shutouts across their opening nine league assignments.
Toni Kallio’s visitors have scored 10 goals in the Finnish Veikkausliiga this campaign, with half of those coming across their last three matches. The Tampere-based club have found the back of the net in 7/9 of their league contests – only failing to score away at KuPS (1st) and SJK (2nd) – and will look to trouble a Haka defence that has recorded just one clean sheet and conceded a league-high 19 goals across their opening 10 league outings.

Both Teams to Score has banked in 6/10 (60%) of FC Haka’s Veikkausliiga fixtures this season, including in 4/4 (100%) at home – and given both have obliged in 5/9 (56%) of Ilves’s league tussle’s – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these sides getting on the scoresheet in Valkeakoski on Wednesday afternoon.
