Croatia v Argentina = Argentina to Score the First Goal
Despite reaching this stage of the competition, Croatia are yet to score the opening goal of a game at this tournament. They’ve only conceded three times in Qatar so far, however, curiously, two of those have arrived in the first two minutes. Argentina will be looking to strike early and catch Zlatko Dalic’s men out once again.
In contrast, Argentina have netted the opening goal in each of their WC matches so far. Despite losing to Saudi Arabia during their first Group C match, they still managed to bag the first goal within 10 minutes before collapsing in the second half. Last time out, they were 2-0 up before failing to see the game out.
France v Morocco = Under 2.5 Goals
Morocco’s defending has been one of the success stories of the tournament so far. Even if they don’t progress beyond this stage, the Atlas Lions will be remembered for their gutsy performances and the way they dispatched of both Spain and Portugal. Each display has been wildly celebrated by fans and players alike, and they must lift themselves once more for this tricky-looking semi-final. Nevertheless, they will make it difficult for Les Bleus and try to frustrate them.
France have been excellent going forward, yet shaky at the back. However, this is a completely different challenge. They may find a way to get through here, but it is unlikely to be a goal-fest!
