Oh My God made no roster changes ahead of LPL 2023 Summer, which is fine considering OMG finished LPL 2023 Spring in fourth place and came just one map short of defeating Bilibili Gaming in the fourth round of the playoffs. So even though OMG were far from serious LPL title contenders, they performed admirably and look poised for another competitive run this split.
Bilibili Gaming finished LPL 2023 Spring as runners-up and built on that success by reaching the finals of the 2023 Mid-Season Invitational. This makes BLG the current second-best team in the world, so it’s not too shocking to see them priced as favourites for this match.
But the offered LoL betting odds don’t take into account the fatigue. It’s common for teams that attend and produce a deep run at MSI to struggle early into their domestic season. But it’s not like OMG need a significant handicap to be competitive against BLG.

Weibo Gaming were considered as one of the strongest teams heading into LPL 2023 Spring, and they delivered by finishing the regular season in fourth place with an 11-5 record. Unfortunately, things came crashing down in the playoffs when Weibo suffered a massive 0-3 loss against Bilibili Gaming.
Consistency wasn’t Weibo Gaming’s strongest trait last split, but this might change with the addition of jungler Wei “Weiwei” Bo-Han and head coach Yang “Daeny” Dae-in – who led DWG KIA (now Dplus KIA) to the LoL World Championship 2020 title. With the changes, Weibo look much better heading into LPL 2023 Summer, but that’ll be put to a proper test very early as they face the reigning LPL and Mid-Season Invitational champions.
JD Gaming are the best LoL esports team in the world right now and the leading candidate to win the league. However, as much as we can praise them, we must consider the MSI fatigue.
Like Bilibili Gaming, JDG should be exhausted from playing competitive LoL without a proper break since the start of the season. The idea behind betting on this match is the same as taking OMG over Bilibili – for JD Gaming, while stronger than Weibo, likely won’t be able to perform at 100%.
