IT’S the last weekend of the Premiership and there’s still plenty to be decided over the weekend.
HEARTS can get the better of rivals Hibs in the last Edinburgh derby of the season and it could be enough to get Steven Naismith the job.
The Scotland coach has installed some fight back into the Jambos – in their last three games they have been behind to St Murren, Aberdeen and Rangers and have come back in them all.
If he can present to the Tynecastle board a CV that would include him beating Hibs, Aberdeen and drawing at Ibrox, it would be difficult for them to say no.
Hibs managed to a terrific 4-2 midweek win themselves over an understrength, ten-man Celtic, but consistency has been the problem with them all season.
Will they be able to raise their game again for a trip across the city? History would say no, with Hibs having a poor record in Gorgie.
Hibs need the win to leapfrog Hearts into fourth and that could open up space at both ends. Take a chance on a Hearts win and both teams to score at an attractive 16/5.
Dundee United’s inevitable relegation will be confirmed barring a footballing miracle at Fir Park on Sunday and MOTHERWELL could pile on the misery.
United’s comic cuts defending has cost them all season, but reached a nadir in midweek in an awful display against Kilmarnock. It was the same the week before against Livingston.
They simply cannot defend and forget any notion of an eight goal swing that could save them.
Well have been in sensational form and the season is coming to an end at the wrong time for them. With Kevin van Veen in on an incredible run after ten goals in a row
Rather than take a Motherwell win, go for two home goals or more at 10/11, as you can get some strange results on the last day.
Kilmarnock and Ross County are involved in a shoot-out at the bottom with the Staggies having to win to avoid a relegation play-off.
It’s too close to call this one with Killie’s excellent home record coming up against a determined County side with goals in them.
They drew 3-3 with St Johnstone in midweek and will have to go for it here.
Killie should net too and it’s a surprise that both teams to score is as big as 17/20.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
HEARTS TO WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 16/5
MOTHERWELL OVER 1.5 TEAM GOALS 10/11
ROSS COUNTY v KILMARNOCK BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE 17/20.
