Saturday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me stay in Germany, but this time the top flight, and I’ve come up with a bet builder featuring goals and cards in one of the matches.

Two clubs deep in relegation trouble in the Bundesliga do battle at the Olympiastadion tomorrow afternoon as bottom side Hertha welcomes 16th-placed Stuttgart in what promises to be a highly competitive clash.
Pál Dárdai’s hosts have scored 35 goals in the Bundesliga this term, with 21 of those coming at home. The Old Lady have struck in 11/15 of their league fixtures in front of their supporters – including in all eight against teams positioned in 8th and below – and will look to breach a Stuttgart defence that has recorded a league-low two clean sheets in the Bundesliga this season, and who have shipped two or more goals in 12/15 (80%) of their road trips.
Stuttgart have scored 38 goals in the German top-flight this campaign, with 17 of those coming away from home. Sebastian Hoeneß’s visitors have found the back of the net in 11/15 of their away matches in the Bundesliga – including in 8/9 against teams currently occupying 7th spot and below – and will look to trouble a Hertha defence that has registered just three clean sheets and conceded 61 goals across their opening 30 Bundesliga outings.

Both Teams to Score has banked in a joint league-high 21/30 (70%) of Stuttgart’s Bundesliga fixtures this season, as well as in 11/15 (73%) away from home – and given the same has landed in 19/30 (63%) of the Old Lady’s matches in the German top-flight this term – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these strugglers to get on the scoresheet.
To bolster the odds, I’m more than happy to add in both teams to pick up a card. Both teams have received a card in 26/30 (87%) of the capital club’s Bundesliga fixtures this season, whilst the same has landed in 13/15 (87%) of Die Schwaben’s road trips.
