Following a shaky series against Team Heretics (2-1) in Week 3 of VCT 2023 EMEA League, Natus Vincere returned to form and secured two solid victories against Karmine Corp (2-0) and Team Vitality (2-0) to keep pace with Fnatic in the VCT title race.
Against Karmine Corp, NaVi were a bit lucky to walk away unharmed, but that mostly had to do with Karmine Corp improving than NaVi playing poorly. Then against Team Vitality last week, Natus Vincere took care of business and won 13-10, 13-10.
Team Liquid have not accomplished as much as NaVi this season, but they’re not far behind. With a 4-2 record and just two defeats against Fnatic (0-2) and Team Vitality (1-2), Liquid are in a good spot and have been improving lately.
Liquid struggled against Heretics (13-8, 17-15) at the start of Week 4 and failed to amaze the Giants (11-13, 13-11. 13-10) last week. Still, they can be competitive and can easily take a map from Natus Vincere.

Giants are 3-3 after five weeks of play, whereas Team Heretics have managed just one win from their last six series. Based on what we’ve seen, Team Heretics are one of the weakest teams in the league, and their past showings prove it.
They took a map from BBL Esports (1-2) last week and forced Team Liquid to overtime seven days prior, but even though Heretics came close to winning several times this season, they rarely close out their maps. On the other side, the Giants are still fighting for the status of a good team, and they’re not too far from that.
They looked good against FUT Esports (2-0) in Week 4 and didn’t disappoint against Team Liquid (1-2) last week either. So even though the Giants still have some work to do, they should not struggle to beat Heretics.
