Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the Dutch second-tier, and there’s one team in particular who appeals to me to collect all three points.

MVV will look to strengthen their position inside the Eerste Divisie playoff places as they welcome away-day strugglers Jong AZ to the Stadion De Geusselt on Friday night.
MVV recorded their fourth successive victory in the league on Monday evening, as they won 0-1 away at Jong PSV. Whilst that was just MVV’s fifth league victory on the road this term, they have been far more consistent at home, with Maurice Verberne’s side winning 12 of their 17 Eerste Divisie fixtures in front of their supporters (W12-D3-L2). The Maastricht-based club have found the back of the net in 15/17 of their home league matches this season, scoring 39 goals.
After ending their seven-match winless run with a 4-0 thrashing of bottom-side Dordrecht, Jong AZ failed to build on that result as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at 17th-placed Dordrecht last time out. Maarten Martens’ visitors have now lost each of their previous four Eerste Divisie fixtures on the road, as well as six of their last seven – with their sole point in that run coming away to 14th-placed Jong PSV. Jong AZ have registered a solitary clean sheet across their 17 away League matches this term, conceding 32 goals.

Only the runaway top-two have collected more points at home in the Eerste Divisie this campaign than the 39 MVV have collected across their 17 matches in front of their supporters. The Maastricht-based club have W9-D3-L0 when welcoming clubs positioned in 7th and below – and I’m backing them to pick up another maximum at home to a Jong AZ side that has lost nine of their 11 (W1-D1-L9) fixtures away to teams currently sitting in 13th and above.
