Monday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match in the English Championship, and I’m keen to back both sides to get on the scoresheet.

Third hosts fourth in the English Championship tomorrow evening as Luton host Middlesbrough at Kenilworth Road in a match that appeals to me for goals at both ends.
Luton have scored 54 goals in the Championship this season, with 29 of those coming at home. Rob Edwards’s hosts have found the back of the net in 17/21 of their Championship fixtures in front of their supporters this term – scoring on multiple occasions in nine of those – and they’ll look to trouble a Boro defence that has registered a solitary clean sheet on their travels this season.
Middlesbrough are the highest-scoring side in the English second-tier this season, scoring 82 goals, with 37 of those coming on their travels. Michael Carrick’s visitors have scored in 16/21 of their away fixtures in the Championship this term – scoring on multiple occasions in 11 of their previous 15 – and they’ll aim to breach a Hatters defence that has conceded in eight of their 10 meetings at home with top-half sides.

Both Teams to Score has banked in a league-high 15/21 (71%) of Middlesbrough’s Championship fixtures on the road this term – and given the same has landed in six of the Hatters 10 meetings at home to top-half sides this season – I’m happy to have a punt on both of these promotion-chasing sides to get on the scoresheet in Bedfordshire tomorrow evening.
