Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me head to the French Ligue 1, and there’s one fixture that appeals to me for goals at both ends

Monaco will look to close the gap to second-placed Lens and third-placed Marseille to three points as they welcome relegation-threatened Strasbourg to the Stade Louis-Il this afternoon.
Monaco put an end to their three-match winless run in Ligue 1 last time out, as they won 0-2 in Corsica against lowly Ajaccio. Philippe Clement’s side have lost each of their previous two league games at home against in-form Nice and Reims, but prior to that, had won seven of their last nine. Les Monégasques have failed to score in a league-low two of their 28 Ligue 1 outings and are the division’s second-highest scorers, finding the back of the net 57 times.
Strasbourg recorded their third victory from their previous four Ligue 1 fixtures in front of their supporters last time out, as they defeated relegation rivals Auxerre 2-0. Frédéric Antonetti’s men came from two goals down to rescue a point against 10-man Marseille in their previous away fixture, however, the Alsace-based club have won just twice on their travels this season (W2-D5-L6). Le Racing have found the back of the net in 22/28 (79%) of their Ligue 1 fixtures, including in 10/13 (77%) of their league assignments away from home.
Bet of the Day
Monaco have failed to net in each of their previous two home fixtures, but I expect them to get back on the scoresheet against a Strasbourg defence without a clean sheet away from home. However, the Principality club have registered just two clean sheets at home in Ligue 1 this campaign, and that will give hope to a Strasbourg attack that’s found the back of the net in 22/28 (79%) of their league contests.
Both Teams to Score has banked in 20/28 (71%) of Strasbourg’s Ligue 1 fixtures this campaign – and given the same has landed in 10/14 (71%) of Monaco’s league outings at home this season – I’m happy to have a punt on both these sides getting on the scoresheet in the principality this afternoon.
