AFTER more twists and turns at the top of the Premier League yesterday it’s over to Manchester United’s to see if they can force their way into the title race.
A win today would see them move just three points behind Manchester City and five behind Arsenal having played a game more. United have been the form team in the Premier League since it’s return after the World Cup, picking up 20 points from a possible 27 and are now 11 unbeaten at home.
Marcus Rashford has become their most important player in that period, he’s scored 14 goals in his last 16 games and added to that tally with another at the Nou Camp in midweek. He’s available at 11/10 to score this afternoon.
Leicester City are the visitors to Old Trafford and they’re in just about their best run of form all season. Seven points from the last nine and a place in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup secured has things looking a lot brighter at the King Power.
There’s good news on the injury front for Brendan Rodgers too with Youri Tielemans returning from injury and James Maddison available despite a knee issue.
The Foxes have managed eight goals in their last two games and despite being 11 places behind today’s hosts have scored just two fewer. But they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven Premier League outings.
It all points to a few goals being scored today. Over 2.5 goals is 8/13, while BTTS is 4/6. Combining both pays 20/21. Slightly better, at 5/4, is available by backing United to score 2+ & BTTS.
In Scotland Hearts look well priced at Motherwell at lunchtime. The Steelmen disposed of manager Steven Hammell last week but have a very able deputy in former Ross County boss Stuart Kettlewell, who ended Motherwell’s 11-game winless Premiership run with a 2-1 win at home to St Mirren in midweek.
But Hearts are clearly the best of the rest in the Scottish top flight and are more than capable to picking up the three points in Lanarkshire today. They’re 5/4 to win but the 11/10 on two Hearts goals also appeals considering they’ve scored three in each of this season’s previous meetings.
