Two teams with very different Premier League priorities square off on Saturday afternoon as Leicester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the King Power Stadium.
A thumping 4-2 win at Aston Villa last weekend as helped ease the Foxes relegation conners, while Spurs are back in the top four mix after claiming the scalp of Manchester City with a 1-0 win in North London last Sunday.
I’ve already penned a separate match preview on this East Midlands encounter but I’ve since identified another angle of attack that I’m happy to get onboard with.
We can back Tottenham to score Over 1.5 Team Goals at even-money with Betfair on Saturday and that price makes plenty of appeal.
Admittedly, Antonio Conte’s side have struggled for consistency this season, but it’s worth noting that they have only been outscored by Arsenal and Manchester City over the course of the 22/23 campaign thus far.
That knack for hitting the back of the net can be attributed to the fact that Spurs have a considerable ace up their sleeve in the form of record-breaker Harry Kane, who will be licking his lips about the prospect of going up against an opponent that he has scored more goals against than any other in the Premier League.
What’s more, Tottenham have scored multiple team goals in four of their last five top-flight road trips, a sample that includes visits to both Brentford and Manchester City, not to mention they fired four past Crystal Palace away from home last month.
While Leicester return home in high spirits as they look to consolidate their Villa Park victory with another positive result here, the hosts continue to haemorrhage goals at an alarming rate.
Only basement boys Southampton and Bournemouth have conceded more goals than Brendan Roadgers’ backline in the Premier League this season so far, with the Foxes shipping two or more goals in 12 of their overall 21 outings to date.
In fact, Leicester have leaked at least two goals in five of their six Premier League outings since the World Cup, so with all things considered, the even-money (Betfair) available on Tottenham striking twice here looks enticing.
