SlipsTips is back to share two angles of attack ahead of Saturday’s fixtures, highlighting selections from both Scotland and England.
East Fife vs Stirling Albion vs (Saturday, 15:00)
Two teams trending in different directions do battle in Scottish League Two on Saturday, as East Fife entertain Stirling Albion.
The men from Methil have tasted victory just once across their last 10 league games – losing six times during that sample – while the Binos have won three on the bounce to keep pace with table-topping Dumbarton.
While Greig McDonald’s side are struggling to get out of their rut, they have had plenty of success in terms of their attacking output this season, failing to strike in just five of their 22 league outings this term to date.
That being said, the Fifers have filed just three clean sheets this season, which does not augur well ahead of a visit from the division’s top scorers, although Albion are by no means watertight themselves, as they like their opponents have just three shutouts to their name.
With this in mind, I was pleasantly surprised to see Over 2.5 goals priced up at 17/20 (William Hill) at Bayview on Saturday.
Overs has copped in 29 of the pair’s 41 combined Scottish League two matches this season thus far, so 17/20 (William Hill) odds about a repeat this weekend is a price that definitely represents value.
Recommended Bet
- Over 2.5 Goals – 17/20 (William Hill)
Altrincham vs Wrexham (Saturday, 17:30)
Wrexham will look to ensure they remain hot on the heels of National League leaders Notts County when they travel to Altricham on Saturday evening.
Phil Parkinson’s posse are in hot pursuit of the pacesetting Magpies, while the Robins are residing in 13th place following back-to-back defeats.
The Dragons are general 8/13 chances here, however we can boost those odds up to an enticing 4/5 (Bet 363) by backing the victors to overcome a -0.75 start on the Asian Handicap
This selection would deliver a full pay-out if Wrexham win the game by at least a two-goal winning margin, with a half-stakes winner secured if they prevail by a solitary strike.
Wrexham make the trip to Manchester in the midst of a 15-game unbeaten run in the National League, triumphing on 12 occasions across that sequence, not to mention they came mightily close to upsetting Championship promotion hopefuls Sheffield United in a 3-3 thriller in the FA Cup last weekend.
With that in mind, as well as Wrexham undoubtedly being in greater need of the points here, backing the free-scoring Dragons with a 0-75 start stands out a 4/5 (Bet 365).
Recommended Bet
- Wrexham -0.75 (Asian Handicap) – 4/5 (Bet 365)
