Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match at Pittodrie, and I’m expecting goals between the pair.

Michael Beale will look to make it two wins from two as new Rangers manager as his side travels to Pittodrie tomorrow evening, to take on an Aberdeen side who seem to always raise their game against them.
Aberdeen suffered yet another defeat against Celtic, as they conceded late on to lose 0-1 to the reigning Premiership champions on Saturday. Before that defeat at the weekend, Jim Goodwin’s men had won six of their previous seven league matches as hosts, including each of their last five. That loss against Celtic was the first time Aberdeen had failed to score in front of their supporters this season, scoring 22 across their opening seven league fixtures as hosts.
Despite falling behind twice, Michael Beale got off to a winning start as Rangers boss, with a 3-2 victory over Hibs, which helped bring up last Thursday’s Football Bet of the Day. Whilst that’s now eight wins from a possible nine at Ibrox, The Gers have struggled on their travels in the league this season, winning just three of their last seven road trips – and none of their previous two. Only Celtic have stopped Rangers from scoring in the Premiership this season, with last year’s Europa League finalists scoring 37 goals across their opening 16 league outings.

Aberdeen put in an ultra-defensive performance against Celtic at the weekend, but I can’t see them being as passive against a side they always seem to raise their game against. The Dons have scored 22 goals across their eight Premiership fixtures at Pittodrie, whilst Michael Beale’s visitors have only failed to score at Celtic Park in the league this season – scoring on multiple occasions in 11 of their 16 league matches.
Collectively, Over 2.5 Goals has landed in 22/32 (68%) of the pair’s Premiership fixtures this season, and given either side’s records in front of goal, I reckon we’ll see at least three strikes with both teams getting on the scoresheet in what is usually an entertaining fixture.
