Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me take my usual trip to the Dutch Eerste Divisie, and there’s one side in particular that I’m keen to back for goals.

PEC Zwolle will look to keep pace with league leaders Heracles as they travel to the Parkstad Limburg Stadion to take on out-of-form Roda JC on Friday evening.
Despite taking an eight-minute lead, Roda JC’s poor run of form continued last time out, as they were beaten 1-3 at home to table-toppers Heracles. That result means that Jurgen Streppel has seen his side lose five of their last seven matches, with both of their wins in that run coming against two of the current bottom four.
PEC Zwolle went back within two points of league leaders Heracles on Monday night following a 1-0 victory at home to Helmond Sport. That result now means Dick Schreuder’s side enters this fixture having won six of their previous seven league outings, and they will be confident of continuing their impressive run of form on Friday evening against their struggling hosts.
Bet of the Day
PEC Zwolle boasts the division’s best away record, winning seven and losing just one of their eight road trips this season. What’s more, they’ve scored 22 goals across those away fixtures – scoring on multiple occasions in six of those matches – and I like the look of them bagging another double against a Roda defence that’s registered just one clean sheet in their last 14 league outings – conceding two or more in eight of those.
