Qatar 2022 was never going to go to script but few could have predicted the final four at this year’s edition of the World Cup.
Croatia, Argentina, Morocco and France are the four teams who’ll compete for a place in the final this year and it’s the French who are clear favourites to lift the famous old trophy on Sunday after a 2-1 win over England last night.
Morocco became the first African nation to reach the semi-finals following their 1-0 win over Portugal and they’ll play the French in the semi-final on Wedenesday, but first up we’ll have Croatia versus Argentina on Tuesday.
France have been installed as 11/10 favourites to retain the trophy with Argentina at 7/4. Runners-up in 2018, Croatia are 7/1 to go one better and outsiders Morocco are 9/1 to become the first nation outside South America or Europe to be crowned World Champions.
There’s going to be a brilliant story to tell whoever wins next Sunday, whether it’s the French as defending champions, Lionel Messi’s crowning glory, Croatia who defy the odds or Morocco as a new name on the trophy.

Racing Tips
Cork has a morning inspection at 8 am to decide whether racing will take place due to the cold weather. Rizzel has his sole selection at that track, so fingers crossed the meeting goes ahead.
