Tuesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the match involving the hosts Qatar and the Netherlands, and I’m expecting the Dutch to record a straightforward victory.

The Netherlands will look to seal their place in the knockout stages as they take on host nation Qatar at the Al-Bayt Stadium tomorrow afternoon.
After failing to qualify for Russia four years earlier, The Netherlands returned to the World Cup finals with a 0-2 success over African champions Senegal. Louis van Gaal’s side made the perfect start against Ecuador by taking an early lead thanks to Cody Gakpo’s strike, but they failed to make it two wins from two as a goal from Ex-West Ham United striker Enner Valencia ensured the match finished all square.
Qatar began their maiden World Cup campaign by being the first ever host nation to lose their opening match, as they were beaten 0-2 by Ecuador. Félix Sánchez’s side did at least manage to score their first World Cup goal against Senegal, but they conceded three times to lose 1-3 and see them eliminated in the group stage.

I must admit, I haven’t been overly impressed by the Dutch in their opening two group-stage matches, but a win here seals their place in the knockout stages. After Qatar’s embarrassing performance in their group opener with Ecuador, they did improve a little against Senegal but still lost, and I don’t see the host nation causing the Dutch any trouble here.
Despite Louis Van Gaal hinting that key striker Memphis Depay may once again start on the bench, I’m more than happy to take the three-times runners-up to cover the -1.75 Asian Handicap. This would mean that should the Dutch win by two clear goals, we would receive a half-stakes winner, but if they win by three or more goals, we would receive a full payout.
