Yesterday we cashed in on some mis-matched international friendlies but it looks tougher to repeat the trick today.
Germany and Argentina both won to nil against low-ranked middle-east nations for a 5/2 Double but it looks like the bookies have caught on today.
Spain look the most obvious candidates as they warm up for the big kick-off in Qatar with a match against Jordan. Yesterday we were getting 4/6 on Germany to win to nil against Oman but the Spaniards are a measly 1/3 to do the same. Hardly worth getting excited about but it should land considering the Jordanians are ranked 85th in the world.
To be fair to them, they’ve lost just once this year, a 2-1 friendly defeat to Australia in Doha but Spain should be a class apart.
Celtic have taken a strong squad to Australia to contend the newly-fashioned Sydney Cup. The round-robin is not much more than a home coming for Ange Postecoglou who’ll be keen to announce his return with a win.
It’s a good opportunity for Postecoglou to give some game time to some fringe players but you’d expect that most of his big names will get a run out too having traveled half way across the world.
Celtic have scored 50 goals in 15 Premiership matches and they could fill their boots if they’re in the mood this morning (8.45 am). Over 2.5 goals pays 4/9 but if you double it with the aforementioned Spain win to nil it makes for a 93/100 Double.
