Erling Haaland will be aiming to warm up for his midweek return to Dortmund with a goal or two against Brighton. The Norwegian is just 1/2 to find the net for the 21st time this season. Of course, since it’s Haaland you really need to consider another hat-trick which is 13/2.
City have been imperious at home this season, scoring four or more in all five Premier League matches at the Etihad. They’ll have a point to prove after last week’s defeat at Anfield and Brighton could bear the brunt. Over 3.5 goals in the match pays 11/10.
Liverpool’s win over City kept their hopes of a title challenge alive and they should build on that with a win at the City Ground at lunchtime.
Forest are struggling, they’ve taken just three points from their last 27 and they’ve failed to score in more than half of their league matches so far. With that in mind the 6/5 on a Liverpool win to nil appeals.
In Scotland Hearts and Celtic kick the day off at 12.30 at Tynecastle. The Hoops have looked back to their best in recent weeks despite a few key absences. They’ve struck 10 goals in their last two matches and the goals are coming from all angles.
Hearts’ form has been really poor recently as they’ve struggled to cope with the demands of European football. It’s now five without a win and just two wins in 10 for Robbie Neilson’s side. That doesn’t bode well for a visit by the champions.
Celtic are 3/10 to win but a more backable 4/5 to be winning at half-time, something they’ve done on seven of 10 Premiership matches so far. Over 1.5 goals also appeals at 6/5.
Hearts’ Alex Cochrane provided some insight in to the Jambos’ approach to the match when he said that “Sometimes you have to take bookings against Celtic“, which could suggest a busy day for ref Nick Walsh. However both sides have the lowest crime count in the league. Cochrane himself is 3/1 to pick up a yellow.
Inverness were proper coupon-busters in midweek when they crashed to a 1-0 loss at home to Hamilton but we’re going to keep the faith with them today. If it wasn’t for that defeat to the Accies they wouldn’t be 11/10 at home to Raith Rovers.
Caley have a strong record in this fixture being undefeated in the last 10 meetings. Raith’s only two away wins have come against the two bottom sides, Arbroath and Hamilton, so there’s plenty of reason to believe that Inverness can get back to the kind of form that saw them win five in a row recently.
