On their day Spurs can be as good as anyone but they’ve not hit top gear yet this season, at least not consistently. A front-three of Kane, Son and Richarlison should give any defence the fear. Notably, the latter has yet to score a Premier League goal since moving to Tottenham from Everton, so no prizes for guessing what we’re looking at today!

The other games in the Premier League look a bit too close to call. Fulham and Wolves look too short at odds-on to win against Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest respectively.

In the Championship Swansea are the form team and they face a trip to Burnley this afternoon. Vincent Kompany’s side have had too many draws this season and another could be on the cards today when the two even-matched teams meet.

Blackburn have been a Jekyll and Hyde team so far this season with home and away from being completely opposite to each other – 5 home wins, 2 defeat versus 2 away wins, 5 defeats. They travel to Middlesbrough and these are usually close encounters. Five of the last 10 meetings have been draw and none of the other five have been won by more than a goal. In fact only once in those ten has either side scored more than once, with just 15 goals scored in that period. The draw is 12/5.

In League One the short-priced double could be popular today. Pre-season favourites Dunfermline can reclaim top spot if they beat table-toppers FC Edinburgh. Money has been piling in for the Pars who were 8/13 on Wednesday but are now just 2/5 and too short to be backing as a single.

But pairing them up with Queen of the South makes for an even-money double. The Doonhamers host Peterhead who are rooted to the bottom. Queens aren’t in great shape themselves but they’ll be desperate not to allow Peterhead the chance to move within two points of them.

On the Scottish Betting Podcast from the guys at Gambla, McBookie‘s Paul Petrie highlighted in-form Elgin City at home to bottom side Forfar. The price stands out at 6/4 but it’s a division where anything can happen so backing the highlanders to score two or more at 5/4 might be the better option at Borough Briggs.
